Purpose Of The Patient Medication Orders

This page is your Medication Orders screen, where you can review all medication orders and start a new one using the “Order New” option. The sections below explain each feature in simple language for training or patient guides.

Order New and Order List

  • Order New: Button or link used to start a brand‑new medication order; this opens a form where you choose medication, pharmacy, quantity, and add notes (as configured by the clinic).
  • Order List: The main section below that shows all your existing orders, so you can quickly see what has been requested and when.

Order summary and columns

  • Total Orders: Shows how many orders exist for your account in total; the number will change as you place more orders.
  • Column headings:
    • Order ID: A unique number used by the clinic and pharmacy to track your order (for example “37344783244”).
    • Patient Name: Confirms which patient the order belongs to, useful if multiple profiles are managed in one system.
    • Status: Shows the current stage of the order, such as “New Request” when it has been submitted but not yet processed.
    • Created Date: Date and time the order was created, letting you see how recent it is.
    • Actions: Extra options you can perform for that order, such as “Reorder.”

Individual order details and actions

Order line (e.g., 37344783244) Clicking or expanding the order shows detailed information including:

  • Created: Confirms when the order was originally submitted (for example “Dec 10, 2025, 1:07 PM”).
  • Status: Restates the order status, such as “New Request.”
  • Fulfillment: Shows how the medication will be provided, for example “Pharmacy to Ship,” meaning it will be shipped to you by a pharmacy.
  • Medication Requested: The medication or pack you asked for, such as “Sub Pack.”
  • Notes: Any comments you or the clinic entered with the order (for example “test order”).
  • Quantity: How many units you requested (for example “1”).
  • Reorder (action): Creates a new order using the same items and settings as the selected order, which is helpful for repeat prescriptions.
